This browser
Records are saved in this browser as you go. Download a backup file from time to time, and keep a copy somewhere safe (email it to yourself, or save it to a USB drive).
Import students
Loads the school's current active students — names and classes only, from the same list used in the fee tracker — into the roster here. Safe to run more than once: it only adds students and classes that aren't already in this roster, it never touches fee records, and it never removes anyone.
Import birthdays
Fills in the date of birth for students already in this roster, matched by name, from the school's records. Safe to run more than once: it only fills a birthday that's still blank here, it never overwrites one already set, and it never adds or removes a student.
Online backup
Checking…
With online backup on, this computer's records sync automatically with every other device connected to the same Firebase project — including the head of school's copy for the Reports tab. It uses the same free Firebase project as the fee tracker and report cards, kept in its own separate records so nothing mixes.
If this device looks out of step with others - a count that doesn't match, a student missing - use Force refresh to throw away anything unsynced on this device and pull the shared records fresh.
